The orthopaedic foot pocket, with variable thicknesses, offers superior comfort.

The blade is made from Tecralene® and thermoplastic rubber for greater durability.

When water escapes from the sides of the blade, it reduces thrust and therefore efficiency.

The Mares design was inspired by observing marine mammals, such as manatees, in their natural environment.

When swimming, these animals bend their tails to form a channel and optimise thrust.

This means that if effective channelling can be achieved, all the water displaced contributes to thrust.

The “Channel Thrust” technology maximises water channelling and moves a much greater volume of water than other fins of a similar size.

The resulting benefit is greater propulsion for the same effort.
