The orthopedic foot pocket with variable thickness provides superior comfort.
The blade is made from Tecralene® and thermoplastic rubber for greater durability.
When water escapes from the sides of the blade, it reduces thrust and therefore performance.
The Mares design was inspired by observing marine mammals, such as manatees, in their natural environment.
As they swim, these animals bend their tails to form a channel and optimise thrust.
This means that if good channelling can be achieved, all the water displaced contributes to thrust.
The “Channel Thrust” technology maximises water channelling and moves a much greater volume of water than other fins of similar size.
The resulting advantage is greater propulsion for the same effort.
The latest evolution of Mares “Channel Thrust” technology is the new “Superchannel” design, which further increases the high performance of Mares fins.

Choose the correct size: a fin that is too tight can cause cramps and one that is too loose can slip off. Do not walk with fins on out of the water (risk of falling). Fins are not a flotation device. Children must use them only under adult supervision.
