LINE BUNGEE
When evaluating an accessory, you should not look only at its ability to increase the chances of a catch, but also consider how convenient it is.
Line bungees are a good example: they do not actually make the speargun more powerful, but make it much more comfortable to use and, in some cases, protect it.
The first advantage of a line bungee is that it adds elasticity to the shaft line, making it easy to fit into the speargun's line release, even when wearing neoprene gloves, while keeping the line under tension at all times.
The second advantage is that models 1151 and 1152 have special snap hooks that make it easy to detach the shaft from the speargun for replacement.
The third advantage is that it is easy to remove the shaft from prey: simply detach the line and let it pass completely through the fish.
The fourth advantage is that it cushions the shot at the end of its travel, the point at which the monofilament connected to the shaft is most at risk of wear.
When the shaft and its weight reach the end of their travel, they put considerable strain on the monofilament line connected to the shaft. After a few shots, it is normal to find that the monofilament has deteriorated where it is attached to the shaft, often requiring replacement. With this cushioning system, the monofilament lasts up to 15 times longer at its most vulnerable point, providing greater security when landing an important catch and reducing the need to replace the monofilament. By cushioning the shot, the muzzle and reel are also subjected to less pulling force, which could otherwise compromise their operation over time.

The MOLLA 1152 model is made of highly elastic latex and reinforced inside with a strong spiral-wound line that allows it to stretch to three times its length while ensuring strength under high tension.
The stainless steel snap hook for quick line attachment has a traditional shape, making it easy to open even when wearing gloves and easy to close again.
There are 360° swivels at both ends to make the line move more freely.

MAINTENANCE:
For the CLASSIC model, simply rinse it in fresh water when washing the whole speargun.
The BRAIDED and SPRING versions are made of latex, so more thorough maintenance is recommended, just as for speargun rubbers.
Lubricate occasionally with silicone spray or petroleum jelly.
Do not leave the speargun in the sun; preferably store it in a dry, shaded place.
For a long period of storage, it is essential to protect the latex with a coating of talcum powder as well.
