ULTEGRA C14000 + XTC SHIMANO REEL
The Ultegra Ci4+ XTC and XSC fit perfectly into the
Shimano Big Pit/Surf reel range and are available in sizes
14000 and 5500. Equipped with the latest long-distance casting
technology, the most noticeable feature of the Ultegra Ci4+ is its low
weight, which helps maximise rod speed when casting at
extremely long distances.
Priced in the mid-range, the Ultegra Ci4+ is popular with a huge range of anglers. With understated colours, a large spool, a compact body made from Ci4+ composite, and some of Shimano's best long-distance casting technologies, you certainly won't be short of features if you choose the Ultegra Ci4+. In use, you'll appreciate the low weight, especially when you're pushing your casting range to the limit. Its lightness lets you generate higher rod speeds which, combined with other technologies, result in longer casts.
Inside the lightweight G FREE body is a combination of HAGANE Gear and X-SHIP, which work together to produce smooth, powerful rotation. X-Protect technology prevents water from entering the moving parts of the reel, ensuring that your reel maintains its performance in all conditions. When it comes to casting, Super Slow 5 oscillation produces an incredibly smooth line release that has been shown to increase casting potential, while Parallel Body ensures that the line leaves the AR-C spool at the perfect angle towards the first guide to minimise friction. The Ultegra Ci4+ is also equipped with Hi-Speed drag
