SHIMANO SAHARA 4000 XG REEL

SHIMANO SAHARA 4000 XG REEL

The Sahara front drag reel range combines a modern design with many of Shimano's best technical features. Perfect for many freshwater and saltwater fishing styles, this is a mid-priced class reel that offers durable performance and versatility.
One look tells you that the Sahara is a reel that means reliability at the right price. Its stylish look is more than matched by its impressive range of technology in a combination that belies its remarkably affordable price. Featuring classic black and gold colours, the Sahara is ultra-quiet, ultra-smooth and, if you prefer to fight with the anti-reverse, there is an anti-reverse system to support the front drag. With a wide range of models available, the Sahara completely redefines reels in this price range and never fails to impress.
The first thing you'll notice when using the Sahara is how smooth, quiet and powerful it is when winding, especially when fighting powerful fish. This is due to the combination of HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP and Silent Drive. This technical trilogy is usually found on Shimano's more expensive reels, and is an unexpected bonus for all Sahara owners. Use the reel even on lighter fishing rods and you'll appreciate the balance of the G-Free body. Put the larger size 5000 on a more powerful fishing rod and you'll appreciate the extra strength of the direct screw-in handle and the smooth casting performance of the AR-C spool with Varispeed II oscillation.
If you fish with ultra light methods, check out the miniature size 500, or the slightly larger 1000 model. For fishing with light and medium lures, floats and feeders, the medium-sized 2000, 2500 and 3000 are a pleasure to use. The 4000 is a great reel for heavy lures and medium-range feeder fishing, while the 5000 is a confidence-inspiring machine. The choice is yours!
